Star Trek date moved to spring 2009
The release of the 11th Star Trek movie has been pushed back to Spring 2009 by Paramount studios as part of a major schedule shake-up.
The JJ Abrams film is set to detail the exploits of Captain Kirk and company at Starfleet Academy. It was set for a Christmas Day release 2008 but the reschedulers have had to react to the writer's strike.
Star Trek (11 ) will now be released on May 8th 2009, with Paramount confident it can achieve greater box office dominance with an early summer opening that they would have with the Christmas launch
I hope the movie still turns out to be a huge hit
